Facilities Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance:
· Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues.
· Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions promptly.
· Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision instruments.
· Collaborate with operations team to address maintenance needs and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
2. Facility Maintenance:
· Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
· Conduct routine checks of building infrastructure to identify and address safety hazards, leaks, or damages.
· Perform repairs or coordinate with external contractors for complex maintenance tasks.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards related to facility maintenance.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
· Document equipment specifications, manuals, and maintenance procedures for reference.
· Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and potential improvements to management for resolution.
· Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans and strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
4. Team Collaboration:
· Work collaboratively with other facilities technicians and departmental teams to achieve common goals.
· Provide support and guidance to junior technicians or new hires as needed.
· Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies, equipment, and maintenance techniques.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting techniques.
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
· Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
· Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular schedules.
Physical Requirements:
The role of a facilities technician involves various physical tasks that require strength, agility, and endurance. While specific requirements may vary depending on the organization and nature of the work, typical physical demands for this position include:
1. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. This may include lifting items from ground level, overhead, or in confined spaces.
2. Standing and Walking: Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods, often throughout the workday, while performing maintenance tasks and moving between job sites within the facility.
3. Bending and Stooping: Flexibility to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to access machinery, equipment, and components for inspection, repair, and maintenance.

Public Safety Officer – Law Enforcement
Columbus Airport Public Safety Officers play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of all employees, travelers, tenants, and visitors. These professionals are entrusted with the responsibility of protecting persons and property from acts of criminal violence and aircraft piracy, while providing vital services in emergency situations. As a Public Safety Officer, you will help safeguard lives, maintain peace, prevent crime, and uphold all relevant laws and ordinances within the airport premises.
Job Duties:
The following is a non-exhaustive list of duties to be performed by a Public Safety Officer – LEO
1. General Police work involving enforcement of all applicable laws, statues, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the safeguarding of property and persons on Columbus Airport premises:
- Patrolling airport property, writing citations, conducting investigations as it relates to incidents occurring on airport property and completing all required reports, making arrests for criminal activity, providing courtroom testimony, recovering and processing evidence when evidence of a crime is recovered.
2. Responds to airport emergency alarms, including aircraft emergencies, vehicle accidents, medical aid calls, and hazmat incidents.
3. Operates airport emergency equipment vehicles during responses to aircraft rescue emergencies; performs rescue tasks at aircraft emergencies and mishaps; operates specialized equipment for rescue operations.
4. Renders aid and basic life support services.
5. Performs assigned training ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
6. Participates in emergency drills and training courses for emergency incidents other than firefighting.
7. Enforces traffic laws on airport property; perform security patrols.
8. Inspects, cleans, and performs operator level maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
9. Prepares a variety of reports, logs, inspection results, and related documents; posts and/or forwards to supervisor.
10. Follows training schedules; receives training; maintains personal training records; attends school(s) and training courses as directed.
11. Monitors and operates communication equipment on police, fire, and aviation frequencies.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
· Principles, practices, and procedures of aircraft rescue
· Operation and maintenance of aircraft/rescue equipment and apparatus
· Concepts, components, and procedures of the Incident Command System

Qualifications:
· Must be a citizen of the United States.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.

· Must be certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
· Minimum of 2 years Law Enforcement experience is highly desired.
· Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements:
· Physical exertion including standing and regular lifting.
· Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, lift at least 50 pounds, and have the ability to squat, bend, reach, push and pull.

Staff Accountant

The Columbus Airport is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with various accounting activities and projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. This is an on-site position with business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash disbursement accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
- Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to appropriate account(s).
- Maintain general ledgers.
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audits.
- Track Misc-1099 data; maintain digital vendor files
- Process monthly sales tax reports
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to details.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Understanding of/the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Knowledge of SAGE accounting software is highly desired.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is desired.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in accounting is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
